It’s that time again, where the Shahs of Sunset gather around a large spread of food and rip each other to shreds. If I were to sum up part one of this reunion, in a few words, it would be: evil eyes, extramarital affairs, and hair extensions. So. Many. Extensions. Asa Soltan Rahmati isn’t wearing them but she made up for her lack of fake hair in about sixty pounds of tacky jewelry.

Some of the covered topics on tonight’s reunion include: Reza Farahan’s ambush wedding to Adam Neely, the breakup of Mike Shouhed and Jessica Parido, and the hot new romance between Mercedes “MJ” Javid and everyone’s favorite neighborhood lug, Tommy Feight. We are also subjected to treated to an appearance by Vida, who just could not miss an opportunity to criticize these easy targets.

We ease in with some education on why there is always such a large spread of food at a Persian get together and the group explains that it’s a show of wealth to have plenty of food to choose from.

Speaking of actual wealth, let’s talk about Shervin Roohparvar, the richest but least exciting of the crew. He tells us that the beautifully bored Aussie Annalise is still in the picture. By in the picture, he means she lives in another continent and visits when she happens to be in L.A.

Here’s a fun fact I was dying to know: Shervin grew up in Alabama after his family immigrated to the United States. Andy Cohen (and everyone else) wants to know how an Iranian-born, Alabama-raised kid becomes a Silicon Valley mogul. Shervin diplomatically explains that he had family in California, but doesn’t explain the rest and I’m disappointed. That is pretty much the only interesting thing about Shervin and he won’t even share the details.

As Andy tries to transition into talking about Shervin and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s friendship, GG makes the fatal mistake of proclaiming that loyalty is number one in her book (right behind boozing and smoking). Reza angrily interrupts to talk about how disloyal GG is. The specifics of whether or not GG actually has a sex tape of him turns into a screaming match but Andy squashes it so no one blows the whole reunion in the first five minutes.

Let’s talk about Reza’s surprise wedding to Adam (I would prefer not to but I guess it’s not MY reunion to run). Reza is thrilled that he can be Persian, gay, and get married on TV. He says the world is changing and cites the fact that we have an African American President and are *about to* have a female president. I hope Reza understands that he is not in the same category of history but he plows on to say how he loves inspiring other Persian gay men who watch the show. Does anyone else remember the Sasha debacle from two seasons ago and how Reza treated him? Reza is hardly a shining example of championing gay rights and acceptance.

More talk about Reza’s dumb wedding (tune out) and Mike admits it made him sad for his own marriage (really tune out). The heat now falls on MJ and her involvement in his wedding plans but she explains that she has the type of friendship with Reza where she is entitled to tell everyone about Reza’s surprise plans. Mike accuses MJ of sabotage because she was jealous that Reza didn’t pick her to be the officiant. Reza doesn’t seem fazed that MJ went behind his back to coax Adam into being more assertive in their relationship and I’m bored with this whole exchange. So your friends didn’t support your (later discovered to be invalid) wedding ceremony that you were springing on your partner, big deal?

Reza does seem calm about it but it’s Asa who seems to have beef. She jumps in when MJ laughs a little too loudly at the idea of MJ being jealous of her friendship with Reza and they get into an argument about who eats too fast at the buffet, which is apparently, the true measure of friendship. There seems to be a lot of bad blood between Asa and MJ and Asa believes it’s all about MJ being jealous of others. I’m having a hard time focusing on anything Asa says with that outfit she is sporting. It is blinding, for real. Bottom line of all this: MJ will never be friends with Asa again and wants us to know it.

Time to revisit the cast trips this season that took us from camping to Palm Springs to Belize. A viewer asks if GG learned anything from the intervention they held while camping. GG has a pursed lip response so let’s just take that as a no. Surprise, right? GG says she was in a horrible place and not in the position to accept any help.

I guess we have to talk about Mike’s marriage now. Can I just say up front I’m tired of hearing Mike act like he’s a victim in all this? You dogged your wife out, you got caught, and you’re heartbroken she didn’t come back after you sent flowers and had your friend invite her on the cast trip. Even Mike’s words about being sorry for cheating are incredibly insincere and he’s even gone back to saying that the cheating incident that broke up his marriage happened before he got engaged. So not buying it.

After being fed that BS, we are treated to a montage of the happy moments between Mike and Jessica. Thank god it was short but unfortunately, now we have to sit through Mike’s pity party for himself. I would like to think that this would be the time where Mike does some explaining, but Andy goes really easy on him and switches to reports that Jessica immediately got a new boyfriend. MJ has some serious judgment (which is really that jealousy again) for Jessica and says Jessica married Mike because she thought he was a gravy train. SNORT – more like a chuck wagon!

Reza and MJ, despite being terrible friends to Mike and continuously meddling in his marriage with ill intent, all of a sudden are back to faulting Jessica for not realizing Mike was the “perfect package”. But Mike is sort-of dating again so if you have zero standards and want to be the designated Queen of a failing shoe empire, get in line, ladies.

Over to a slightly more promising relationship (but not by much), we are joined by Tommy and Vida. You all know I couldn’t stand Tommy when he first came on to the scene but slowly, that big calzone won my heart with his Andrew Dice Clay rants and seemingly big heart. I love how he handles Vida by not putting up with her crap but not getting upset or angry either.

Speaking of, Vida Dearest hasn’t changed her mind about Tommy and thinks he doesn’t have a sense of morality. She cites the “filthy” pictures of MJ and Tommy in the pool in Belize that Asa calls art. Vida implores Asa to take pictures of her own big ass (her words!) and leave MJ out of it.

As for the wedding, MJ says they set a date for June of nevergoingtohappen 2017 and Vida glowers even harder. That won’t work on Tommy, who remains upbeat, continues calling MJ a beautiful angel and when she starts to get emotional talking about kids, he gallantly offers her his handkerchief. Chivalry is not dead, it’s just hidden under layers of a Bronx accent and unkempt facial hair.

Now that we got that out of the way, it’s time for everyone to get wrecked by Vida Dearest and her rapid fire critiques. Thanks to a clip from Watch What Happens Live, Vida says GG should stop being a victim, Mike is a confused dreamer, Asa should stop using the show for her personal benefit, Reza should stop using the word bitch and acting superior, and Shervin gets off unscathed by being “OK”, which is how I would rate part one of this reunion show. Just OK. Hopefully, tomorrow night, Andy will put on his big boy pants and get some real answers to our questions.

Back to back nights of reunion specials are always a little much and that couldn’t be truer than with the Shahs of Sunset. It’s just a lot to handle and I think most of us can agree that we need the Shahs in small, weekly doses. But if part one of the reunion could be summed up as evil eyes, extra marital affairs, and extensions, part two’s theme should be business schemes, standup routines, and sex tapes that no one has seen.

We pick up from last night with Vida sitting back and watching the destruction she caused after throwing her patented Criticism Grenade into the heart of the crew. Mercedes “MJ” Javid and Asa Soltan Rahmati are still going at it and MJ really has an axe to grind here. Tommy Feight, drinks his free champagne and is happy as a clam, completely unaffected by the drama going on around him. If anyone can handle dating someone on a reality show, I’m starting to think it is Tommy.

Andy Cohen probably has a raging headache so he decides to call a break and Mike Shouhed, who has apparently discovered pancake makeup and contouring in his downtime from Shahs, follows MJ back to her trailer. He informs her that she is starting to look a little Vida-ish with the way she is treating Asa. She tries to defend herself but when Tommy agrees and tells her she is too beautiful to be so hostile towards someone, she has no choice but to simmer down and listen to that sweet little meatball of a fiancé she has.

Now that Andy has popped a Xanax (if he’s smart) and taken some time to recover, he decides to jump right back in and throw some shade on Mike. Thanks to a viewer question, Andy wants to know how Mike went from commercial real estate to selling shoes. Mike wants to clarify – he doesn’t sell shoes, he manufactures them. Is that sort of like how you just flirt women but don’t actually cheat on your wife? All spin aside, Mike didn’t know Kitson was going out of business and his shoes are now sold exclusively (lol) on his website.

I guess being the King of a Shoe Empire that exists only on your own personal website requires a lot of wisdom and motivation, so Andy continues to dig in by treating us to Mike’s best Instagram selfies and accompanying motivational quotes. Mike hashtags “wisdom” a lot but can’t seem to find a way to not let that one troll get into his head when they message him, despite all the DMs he gets from followers who are so inspired by his car selfies. #isitreallyonlyonetrollthough

Keeping the short lived business venture talks going, Andy turns to Asa for updates on her kaftans (which are being picked up by Nordstrom) and Diamond Water (which still exists but is only served in one restaurant in Dubai that likely hasn’t run through their stock yet).

As if talking about shoe manufacturing and kaftan slinging wasn’t bad enough, now we have to endure reliving Reza Farahan’s standup routines. I was really hoping no one would have to be subjected to Reza’s turd of a comedy set ever again, but Bravo loves to bring the pain. Reza describes himself as a combination of being funny as f**k and having zero f**ks to give. Mike says he thinks Reza is witty and hilarious and Shervin gives props to Reza for doing “like, the hardest thing”. Because of all that smoke up his not-even-close-to-funny-ass, Reza isn’t giving up on comedy and reveals he is going to be starring in a play where he dresses in drag and is like the Persian Madea. I’m sure you can order your tickets on Mike’s shoe website.

On a totally different topic, a viewer wants to know why we don’t get to hear about Asa’s relationship with her long-term boyfriend, Jermaine Jackson Jr. Asa says Jermaine doesn’t want to be on camera and of course, MJ is resentful that Asa is guarded about her relationship and therefore, not being real. Asa spits back that if she wants to get real, MJ should stop acting like she really sells real estate and admit she just makes her money from the show. MJ starts screaming that she has nothing to hide but be careful, MJ – I can only imagine how many secrets Asa can shake out from under that wig of yours.

Viewers have picked up on the chemistry between Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi and Shervin Roohparvar but they insist they have never hooked up. Shervin admits he probably does enable her too much and that turns into Reza accusing him of playing peacemaker to pander to the fans.

Reza, who wouldn’t understand peace if it hit him in the mustache, can’t even handle a viewer question that he already knew about because he was reading Andy’s cards ahead of time. The viewer lists off all the friends Reza has screwed over on Shahs and wants to know if Asa is worried she is next. Asa is not and even Mike, who got one of the biggest friendship screws from Reza, jumps to his defense. I wonder how long this new and improved buddy act is going to last.

Let’s take a little walk down Illness Journey Lane, shall we? First, GG will define it for us: RA stands for rheumatoid arthritis (thanks for breaking that down for us, GG) and she has been dealing with it for six years now. Reza doesn’t feel bad for doubting GG’s health even after seeing her get chemo because he says it was an infusion, not a high enough level of chemo to actually be considered chemo. How does he know this, you ask? Because he went to a rheumatologist to investigate and fact check all of GG’s claims. #timeonyourhands

Shervin defends GG and says she definitely has RA (which I agree with) but he has an issue with her using the terminology of chemo. Because of a family situation, Shervin is actually educated enough about it to explain the difference between chemo and what GG was treated with, which for the record, wasn’t exactly considered chemo. Andy clarifies that what people are mad about is that GG didn’t make a distinction of how serious her treatment was and GG screams it was a mistake.

Now we have to deal with the whole Reza sex tape debacle. Apparently, GG has been holding this information for a while (five years) and angrily admits that she lied about having the video. A viewer question comes in saying that GG must have been hurt or abused in some deep way in the past. GG, ever the victim and seeing a perfect opportunity, lowers her eyes and whispers that she isn’t here to talk about her past. Reza and MJ snicker about how she’s going to kill someone one day. #likely

The tides quickly turn and Reza starts to choke/cry about how damaging GG’s video lie was to his credibility because he has a job. Truthfully, it’s hard to find sympathy for Reza given how nasty he is to everyone else. Dis tew much for Reza and he walks off set, MJ following him like a sequin jumpsuited puppy.

Andy runs off to coax Reza and MJ back to set and Reza arrives, sipping a Capri Sun. Did he miss nap time? Someone get this man some animal crackers, dammit! Reza continues to sob because he felt powerless (Andy’s words). GG calms down, thanks to her own sippy cup of champagne, and apologizes to Reza for lying about the sex tape. Andy gives Reza the opportunity to apologize to GG for doubting her RA. Reza squeaks out an “of course” and that’s the best we are going to get.

Wrapping up, Reza continues to sniffle until they break and he runs to his trailer, taking pulls from his juice box. GG tracks him down, asking for a minute to chat. She tries to explain that she is feeling all of the feelings that Reza is feeling she is feeling (whut?) and wants to know if there is any way to fix it. Reza says there is a chance. As they part ways, GG is blabbering, saying that she is growing and even if Reza doesn’t want to be her friend, she hopes he will see her growth, maybe on Instagram. #blocked

There was NO shortage of Jessica Parido bashing on the Shahs of Sunset reunion. And Watch What Happens Live. And Twitter. And. And. And… Despite the fact that Mike Shouhed is the one who cheated on Jessica, he was made out to be the victim <eye roll> on the reunion.

Jessica took to Twitter to throw shade, saying she only “caught a glimpse” of the reunion because she was “busy filing her nails.” To be honest, I would rather watch Jessica file her nails than watch another second of the Poor Mike show on Bravo. I mean, seriously – do they think we are stupid?! How can they spew such ridiculousness with a straight face??

Mostly, Jessica took issue with Mercedes “MJ” Javid, with good reason.

MJ, aka Vida Jr, trashed Jessica on the reunion, downplaying Mike‘s cheating and claiming Jessica is a gold digger. (Digging for what?! Wrinkle cream? Ugly ass shoes? So much delusion!)

About those laughable claims, Jessica tweeted at MJ, “Mike cheated on me throughout our relationship AND marriage. Were you in my home?” and “Gold digging? What gold was I digging for 5 years when we both had NOTHING and built something together??”

Jessica added, “It was NOT one time. It was NOT just before we were married. It was NOT a mistake, it was a conscious decision.” She went on to call Mike (or maybe MJ? All of the above? If the ugly ass shoe fits, I guess!) a narcissist and posted:

Following the reunion, MJ continued on Watch What Happens Live. MJ said Jessica “100% left Mike,” adding, “Shame on you. Stop using us. I’m sorry that you thought that Mike was going to get you a Rolls-Royce, a Rolex, and a Chanel.”

Jessica tweeted, “Who am I using? LOL! What on earth would you talk about if it wasn’t me?” She also pointed out to MJ, “If anything you are using me – your frozen egg story line can only last so long. If you need material for Season 6 let me know.”

Season 6?! Bite your tongue, Jessica!

On one hand, I wish Jessica would have been at the reunion to defend herself, but on the other hand, I am glad she stayed away. And I hope she stays far. far. far. far. away. from the show and the horrid people on the show.

To say that Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi has been through a lot would be putting it mildly. Honestly, she has enough material for her own reality show.

Not only does GG have a lot going on with her feud with Shahs of Sunset co-star Reza Farahan and her Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, but she is also revisiting some painful moments from the past and sharing a lot.

What is with all the Bravo shows and accusations about people faking illnesses? It is starting to get old and definitely is not shocking anymore. We all know about the Shahs of Sunset cast questioning GG’s illness, but there is so much more to her life story than this show. GG talked about her life struggles in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

GG explained that her struggle with RA is especially difficult because of her troubles with addiction. “I was an addict,” she admitted. “I have 11 years drug free. I started using drugs when I was 11 and a half, and it kind of progressed very, very fast and I was a full blown addict [before I knew it].” Eleven is such a young age to get into such a scary situation. GG explained that she had issues with cocaine and marijuana.

Last year, GG slipped up when she started hitting the bottle hard. “When the alcohol abuse picked up last year, I knew this pattern and I knew what was happening,” she said. “I recognized it. I said, ‘Okay, well if I don’t stop it now, this could eventually lead to a few lines of coke, it could lead into a lot of other dangerous things.'”

Things got very dark for GG. She admitted that she contemplated suicide: “I was literally sitting on the ground in my living room, one empty bottle of Titos vodka here, a bottle of wine here, and some gin. And on the other side, I had knives. It just came down to – you fight or flight in this moment. ‘What do I do in this moment?’ And I downed the rest of that wine and picked up the phone. I called my friend and said, ‘I need you now.'”

Things got even worse for GG since she was diagnosed with a second autoimmune disease three and a half months ago. GG explained just how scary this is to her and what she’s thinking: “Thinking that I can pass this onto my kids, or even if I have kids I can’t hold on to them for too long…I just keep envisioning if my child is just crying and I literally have no strength to hold my child for any longer – it is just something that’s been really weighing on me for the last couple years. At this age I should be starting a family. I’m even debating if I should anymore.”

Wow. GG‘s really gone through a lot. It definitely makes you look at her Shahs of Sunset conflicts from a different perspective.

For the most part, the Shahs of Sunset cast has stayed pretty much the same since the beginning. Sure, there has a been a rotating spot for that additional cast member every season, but Lilly Ghalichi and Asifa Mirza just didn’t fit in.

On the other hand, Shervin Roohparvar really is a natural fit for the cast, so I don’t get why he wasn’t on the show sooner. Maybe he just was hesitant to join the cast? He’s had genuine relationships with the other Shahs for years now, so it only makes sense for him to be a part of the show.

In an interview with Review Journal, Shervin opened up about why he joined Shahs of Sunset. Fans of the show know that Sherv appeared here and there on Season 4 as a friend of the cast, but he finally made the jump to being an official member of the cast during Season 5.

Shervin explained how it all went down: “They were casting. I was actually in Season 4, a secondary character. The casting director and I had a mutual friend, and they wanted different, interesting people for Season 5. My name came up, and I jumped along the casting process along with 900 people. I don’t know what they found so interesting about me!”

So was Shervin dying to be a reality TV star? No, not really. Shervin admitted, “I didn’t know if I wanted to do it because I was from the tech industry and had no clue about the entertainment world and the casting scene experience in and of itself. But then they made me an offer, and one thing led to another.”

Shervin confirmed that he will be back for Season 6 of Shahs of Sunset, “I’m really excited to get back into it. It’s been a hell of a ride. When I chose to take the offer, I thought to myself not everyone gets this opportunity. I’ve watched television my whole life, so getting to know the other side of the screen interested me, the mechanics.”

Even though Shervin has had close ties to the house for a while, being on TV was not easy for him at first. Shervin said, “It’s a lot of fun. In Season 4, I remember being nervous, like, ‘Can they hear my heartbeat?'” But things got easier for Shervin with time and he felt like he was ready to be a full time member of the cast. “With Season 5, I couldn’t wait to do it. I felt better about it. It was still challenging, but you feel more and more comfortable with your cast mates and the production crew. You become you truer self.”

I’m happy that Shervin is a part of the cast. He’s hilarious, a straight shooter, and doesn’t stir shit up out of desperation. Hopefully he continues to keep it real and doesn’t get caught up in the attention that comes from being on reality TV.

Being the loyal TV watcher that I am, I always wonder what my favorite reality stars are up to in between filming seasons of their show. That is why I am thankful for social media. Considering that these people share their lives with TV viewers, it is not at all surprising that many of them share a lot of their lives on social media as well.

Case in point, I feel like I have been going through withdrawals from the Shahs of Sunset. I am so curious to know what they have all been up to since that explosive reunion aired. What’s going on with Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s health and body these days while she battles Rheumatoid Arthritis? I also want to know what has been going on with Asa Soltan Rahmati and those kaftans? Is that taking off?

I feel like GG is always trying something new when it comes to beauty or medical treatments. She is always willing to branch out, so it’s not super shocking that she put up a post on Instagram with photos of her getting a treatment from a nano machine to flatten her stomach. First off, I feel like GG is the last person who needs this, but I am still wondering how this works and if there are actually results.

 

I love trying new things to make my tummy super flat so I had to try the Nano machine at @BeverlyHillsPlazaMediSpa at The Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel.

GG is such an open book on Shahs of Sunset. I feel like we know every single thing about her. And then on the opposite end of the spectrum, there’s Asa. She really doesn’t share much except for her latest business ventures and her opinions about what’s going on the lives of the other cast members. The only thing we really know about her other than that “Persian pop priestess” shtick with the art and the fact that she has her own line of kaftans.

And apparently the kaftans are doing pretty well since they just got picked up by Nordstrom, which Asa proudly posted about on Instagram.

Shahs of Sunset star Asa Soltan Rahmati is all about her business on the show – which she pretty much has to be since she doesn’t expose her romantic relationship or other aspects of her personal life on the show. As a result, Asa’s sole story line is all about her hustle as an entrepreneur. She has that infamous diamond water, those kaftans, and now she’s getting into the jewelry game.

It was only a matter of time until Asa started selling jewelry. It fits in with her persona as reality star and a business woman. She definitely has a unique style and I feel like she will do whatever she can to provide for her family.

As part of the caption, Asa wrote, “I listened to you loves and made a line of affordable gold plated jewelry that looks just like mine that you see me always wearing. I’m talking a set of gold bangles, the most stunning cocktail rings, etc. Price range is awesome: $49-89.”

I guess it’s not the jewelry that she wears? I have no idea if it’s replicas of what she rocks on a regular basis, or if that wording was just odd, but I’m sure her fans will be into it.

Her jewelry launches Wednesday, August 24 at 2 AM ET. It will be interesting to see how well it does.

Living the fabulous life comes at a price! The age-old proverb says, ‘Have zip line into your pool, will get sued eventually’ – and Shervin Roohparvar has found out the hard way!

The Shahs Of Sunset star is being sued by a former houseguest who says the zip line Shervin has running from his upper pool deck into his pool was improperly secured, causing her to fall and break her back. She also says he should have warned her of the dangers.

According to TMZ, the California woman believes Shervin and his friend/roommate Nima Nejat were negligent zip line owners, who failed to take proper precautions in securing the line to the upper pool deck – which is what cause her to fall.

She claims she was knocked unconscious, resulting in a concussion, and also fractured her vertebrae after her disastrous zip line trip. The woman’s suit says she’ll now be on permanent disability because of the injuries she sustained, so she wants Bravo Shervin to pay up!

Shervin and Nima don’t actually own the party pad they call home, but the woman believes, since they were living there, they’re culpable for not alerting her to the dangers of zip lining into a swimming pool. Mmmmm…interesting. 

It’s not clear if Shervin is still living in the house, or if it’s his old Hollywood Hills house featured on Shahs, I guess we’ll see what happens with the headphone impresario! Season 6 of Shahs of Sunset began filming this month, and Shervin will be back. Perhaps we’ll see a bit of his zip line drama on the show?

There’s a Shahs of Sunset baby on the way – Asa Soltan Rahmati and her boyfriend, Jermaine Jackson Jr, announced today that they are expecting their first baby. Not only that…but Asa is already six months along…color me shocked that Asa’s co-stars were able to keep a secret. About anything. Ever.

Asa revealed the news via People magazine, then later shared on Instagram, “My beautiful lovers, I am so excited to finally share with you that my beloved soulmate Jermaine and I are expecting our first baby. We are six months pregnant. This has been the happiest news of our lives and we are beyond excited and grateful.”

While we don’t see him, or them together, on Shahs of Sunset too often, Asa and Jermaine have been together for six years.

There’s no time for relationship stuff when Asa‘s so ridiculously busy with her careers, projects, callings, inventions (I mean, water’s not just going to up and invent itself. Oh wait…). I kid. Really, they’re just private, which is refreshing. And for whatever reason, Asa gets away with keeping such a huge part of her life off camera.

“I feel amazing,” Asa told People. “Being pregnant has been such a beautiful experience. We are so excited and Jermaine will be the absolute best father.”

Bravo is finding more reasons for us to stay tuned in on their channel. They’ve announced the renewals of three shows: Southern Charm, Million Dollar Listing New York and Shahs of Sunset.  They’ve also announced the addition of three new shows coming soon: Southern Charm Savannah, First Family of Hip Hop and Relative Success with Tabatha.

We already knew that Southern Charm‘s fourth season was filming, but now comes the official confirmation. AND in even better Southern Charm news: Kathyrn Dennis confirmed that she IS back on board with the cast, despite those Tweets she shared a few weeks back, announcing her departure from the show (which she later deleted). Shahs of Sunset and Million Dollar Listing New York will be returning for their sixth seasons on the network.

As for the new show lineup, fans of Tabatha Coffey will be happy to hear that she’s back on Bravo with “Relative Success with Tabatha.” They initially announced this one back in April, but it seems they are finally ready to roll with it.

From their press release: In this brand new series, Tabatha Coffey brings her no-nonsense style and expertise to the complicated world of family businesses and, as Tabatha knows from her own personal experience, when you have to work with your relatives ALL business is personal. In each episode Tabatha is called in to help the family navigate the troubles in the business but soon finds herself knee deep in the complex personal issues facing the family itself. Along the way she’ll uncover deep resentments, past feuds and creative differences.

Also coming up on Bravo is “First Family of Hip Hop.”

The show will focus on the Robinson family: Sylvia Robinson changed the world when she introduced hip-hop to the mainstream with the Sugar Hill Record’s hit “Rapper’s Delight.” Thirty years later, her son and grandchildren are looking to make their own mark on the music industry as they fight to put Sugar Hill Records back on top. They may have hip-hop in their blood, but can the Robinsons put their personal issues aside to rebuild their empire or will the battle over the family birthright break their bonds once and for all.

And then we have a brand new spinoff to look forward to with “Southern Charm Savannah.”

For those of us who can’t get enough of Southern Charm: Viewers will go past the antebellum walls for an inside look into the posh society of Savannah, Georgia. This hauntingly romantic city is filled with heirs and socialites who learned to operate boats before cars and whose ball gowns and white dinner jackets never collect dust. The new series will follow six life-long friends as they set out to make their mark in this world, all while navigating their love lives and personal relationships.

Other than being a reality star on the show Shahs of Sunset, I didn’t know that Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi had aspirations as an actress. But now GG will take a stab at acting by star in the off-Broadway play “Sex Tips For Straight Women from a Gay Man.”

If that show sounds familiar to you, then you are probably a reality TV junkie like myself and you recognize that Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan had a recent stint in the same play. It makes me wonder if any other Bravo stars will follow in GG and Sonja’s footsteps and take on a role in this play.

Just like Sonja, GG is not the kind of person who has ever been afraid to tell it like it is, so I’m a little surprised that she said this in a statement to Page Six: “This play is a wild ride and has some pretty racy scenes. When I was reading the script I kept thinking ‘Oh, God, my parents are going to be in the audience watching this!’” If GG thinks the play is “pretty racy” then it must be.

Still, it’s not like GG can be too uncomfortable taking on the role of Robyn since she also said, “The character I’m playing has a lot of similarities to the real me so this should be interesting.”

Not only is the play a chance for GG to branch out as an entertainer, but the production will also be a philanthropic endeavor. The play’s proceeds will go to GG’s charity Little Warriors which is an organization that helps children with autoimmune diseases. GG has been very vocal about her struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis (and has been questioned by her cast members), so it’s only fitting that she contributed to a cause close to heart.

I have no idea how GG will be as an actress, but I’m sure that video clips will hit social media in no time.

“I would say within two or three months of dating we were inseparable,” Lilly told The Daily Dish. “It all moved very quickly.” Dara owns a successful office chair company which he runs with his parents.

If you watch Shahs of Sunset, you know how low key Asa Soltan Rahamati prefers to live her life. Sure, she’s on a reality show, but her storylines mostly focus on her business endeavors. Asa just gave birth to their first child together.

The couple welcomed their baby boy and Asa posted a rare photo of her and Jermaine together to commemorate the big occasion. And in another unusual move for the super private couple, they shared some details about the baby’s arrival and even the baby’s name.

Asa and Jermaine talked to Us Weekly about the arrival of their first baby through their representative. The rep revealed, “Asa has delivered her beautiful boy, born on January 20, 2017.”Of course Asa was able to keep the birth under wraps. She is definitely one of the most private reality TV stars  The rep added, “Both he and mom are healthy. His name is Soltan Jackson.” I like it. A combination of both their family names is a great way to pay homage to both sides of the baby’s family.

Asa shared, “Our lives have completely changed for the better. Jermaine and I brought our precious love home last night. Our families are completely overjoyed.” Aaaww. I wonder if any of this will be featured on the show. I mean, I get hiding a personal relationship from the scrutiny of the public eye, but keeping a pregnancy and birth away from a show about your own life seems like a lot.

Asa continued the sharing with a sweet Instagram photo of her and Jermaine. Asa wrote, “We gave birth to our precious son on January 20th 2017. His name is Soltan Jackson and we are completely in Love with him. Mami, Baby, and Daddy are all doing well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your well wishes and prayers. I don’t know what to make out of this, but Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi put up and deleted two posts about how she secretly got married to her boyfriend Shalom– whose last name I can’t seem to find anywhere by the way. I don’t know if that means she didn’t get married or what.

My suspicion is that she was either contractually obligated to share the marriage on Shahs of Sunset or she got some sort of payout for a tabloid to share the inside scoop and had to delete her Instagram posts.

Luckily, E! got on that real quick and managed to quote the two Instagram posts that GG put up before she ended up deleting them.

In one post, GG let the cat out of the bag with an Instagram caption that said, “January 25, 2017 We walked into a courthouse just to see what type of paperwork is needed for getting married. They sarcastically told us there’s a small chapel we could go to and do it right then.”

She revealed that they actually did end up tying the knot: “An hour later, we walked out of that chapel as husband & wife. We clearly weren’t dressed for it and I couldn’t stop laughing from shock… but f–k it… we’re not like ordinary people.” Congratulations to them. I don’t get why she deleted it… other than the most likely option that it would be more beneficial ($) to share the news elsewhere.

And of course, GG put up an additional post to celebrate Valentine’s Day. GG wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my hubs.” Note, she did say “hubs,” as in husband. GG also wrote, “This was the day you proposed… it was 13 degrees in NYC, we barely had enough clothes on, my tears kept freezing down my face, you pulled off the sweetest surprise proposal and with the most beautiful ring. I’ll never forget that day! Asheghetam!!!”

I’m sure this isn’t the last that we will hear about GG and Shalom’s marriage. We will either see this on the next Shahs of Sunset season or in a magazine spread. I’m calling it now.

We might have a new record for the shortest reality star marriages. Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi has decided to call off her marriage to her husband Shalom (whose last name I still can’t find anywhere) after just a few weeks. None of us thought this one was going to last forever, but damn this bottomed out by the one month mark.

Of course, the full details about the demise of this relationship haven’t come to light yet, but I’m sure they will whenever GG gets around to promoting the next Shahs of Sunset season. In the mean time, GG released an official statement.

GG’s rep shared the following statement about the end of her marriage: “During the past few weeks, certain facts have come to GG’s attention that have made her realize her marriage can no longer continue and, in fact, should have never happened.” I would love to know what those facts are, but regardless I feel like most of us are in agreement that this insta-wedding in the court house shouldn’t have ever went down.

The statement also said, “She is hoping to end the relationship as amicably and respectfully as possible.”

They were barely married. This should be an open and shut case. What assets could they even have to divide aside from the snacks in the fridge (or the bottles in the liquor cabinet)? I really can’t see this divorce getting heated, not that we actually know much about this relationship, but still.

They announced this marriage on February 17, 2017. I have stuck by a bag of chips for more time than that. I feel bad making light of this divorce (or possible annulment?), but it seems like GG and Shalom made light of marriage, so whatever. I’m sure we will hear way more about this than we ever needed to when Shahs of Sunset returns for a new season.

I have no idea how Asa Soltan Rahamati ended up being a reality TV star. I get that she’s had years of history with the other cast members on Shahs of Sunset, but she doesn’t share much of her own reality on this show. We really know nothing about Asa other than her opinions on other people’s drama and the products she wants to sell. I’m curious about how her pregnancy and life as a new mom will factor into the show.

Asa is gushing about being a new mom, but I wonder if she’s even going to mention it at all on Shahs of Sunset. For years, we’ve seen zero aspects of her personal life, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she just never addressed her baby bump and they just cropped her kid out of scenes. I know I sound harsh, but I can’t be the only one who thinks this, right? Well, Asa has had a lot to say about her baby and boyfriend Jermaine Jackson Jr. and it might be all we get given her past history on this show, so check it out.

I am hoping Asa lets go and lets the show feature some aspects of her pregnancy and life as a mom next season. There are only so many caftan-related story lines that I can handle.

Asa opened up about being a mother to her son Soltan in an interview with E! News. Asa declared, “Words truly can’t describe the way you feel.” Aaaww. She also said, “Jermaine and I just stare at Soltan’s face all day. It’s amazing. I smell his skin and he looks at me and [he] just started smiling this week. Every little thing just makes us so happy.” That’s very sweet.

I felt like that was a very nice and normal sentiment. Now, I just am a little thrown off by her talking about her relationship with Jermaine as if we know anything about it. I’m happy that she’s finally being open about her life, but I’m surprised that she’s talking about her relationship.

Asa gushed, “It’s so emotional. Soltan has my chin and hair and the rest is his dad. I can’t even look at Jermaine the same way anymore. It’s the cutest thing! You see a new facet of your beloved that you’ve never seen.” Yeah, well I’ve “never seen” her “beloved” on the show, so I can relate. Obviously, I’m kidding, but this seems so out of character for her to be so open about her life so I’m a little taken aback.

I just want to see more of Asa’s actual life on this show. No one cares about the diamond water, the caftans, or being a self-proclaimed priestess, which I still don’t really get in all honesty. This is the kind of stuff that people can relate to. This is what we need on this show.

Asa continued bragging about the ultra mysterious relationship, “Just when I thought I could not love Jermaine more, we slipped into new depth of absolute love for each other that’s totally different from before. He’s honestly, and I knew this, the most incredible dad.” Aawww.

At this point, the press coverage for Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi’s quickie marriage is longer than the relationship itself. After randomly getting married to Shalom Yeroushalmi, absolutely no one was surprised when they announced their separation.

In related news, absolutely no one is surprised that she officially filed for divorce. I’m sure this super short marriage will be dragged out way too long during the next Shahs of Sunset season, but I have to assume that the divorce process itself should go pretty quickly. I mean they were barely together and they had zero kids. There shouldn’t be too much to sort out in terms of this breakup.

According to a report from TMZ, GG wants the court to block Shalom from receiving spousal support payments. Why would he get any spousal support payments!? How accustomed could someone get to a lifestyle when he was only married to GG for two months- which is a generous measure of time.

They got married on January 25 and the separation date is listed is March 27, so that makes me think that shit hit the fan pretty much immediately and that saying this marriage lasted for two months is actually an exaggeration. Now we all have to deal with this story line next season. I figured GG would provide plenty of drama since she’s usually on bad terms with the entire cast (minus Shervin Roohparvar), but I guess not.

Your first look at Shahs of Sunset season 6 is here. The series returns on July 16th and in the first trailer, it looks as dramatic as ever. We can expect a lot of Reza crying, the girls fighting, cheating, drinking, more baby contemplation and on and on.

Most of the Shahs of Sunset crew is back again this season, including Mike Shouhed, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, Mercedes “MJ” Javid, Reza Farahan, Shervin Roohparvar, and Asa Soltan Rahmati. We’ll also meet a friend of Reza’s, Destiney Rose. Hopefully he’s a better friend to her than he was to Lilly Ghalichi. Mike’s ex-wife Jessica Parido also joins the season as she and Mike contemplate getting back together.

NEW YORK – May 31, 2017 – Bravo Media’s larger-than-life Persian Americans are back for a tumultuous season six when “Shahs of Sunset” premieres on Sunday, July 16 at 8pm ET/PT. Still dealing with the remnants of last year’s breakups, makeups and moments of betrayal, Asa Soltan Rahmati, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, Mercedes “MJ” Javid, Mike Shouhed, Reza Farahan, and Shervin Roohparvar each find themselves at a crossroad in their lives. And when Reza enlists the help of his friend Destiney Rose in organizing Mike’s housewarming party, she wastes no time inserting herself into the group’s shenanigans. With hopes for new beginnings and questions about the future looming, these Shahs must confront their deepest differences in order to decide what relationships – if any – are worth salvaging.

This season, Asa is thrilled to share the news with her friends that she and her longtime boyfriend are expecting their “miracle” baby. But when her announcement is met with questions and they begin to cast doubt on her claims, her position in the group is jeopardized. This only adds to the stress of her fallout with MJ, who finds herself more determined than ever to expand her own family. Having accepted her fiancé Tommy’s proposal last year and finally possessing a clear direction of where her life is headed, MJ’s world is rocked when her father’s health takes a turn. Reza finds himself entrenched in this girl-on-girl fallout and is eventually forced to choose a side, all while dealing with challenges inherent in the first year of marriage. His husband Adam’s bout of baby fever forces him to learn the art of compromise.

Still reeling from his divorce, Mike works toward a fresh start with a flashy new home and promising business ventures on the horizon. But despite the fact that he is ready to date, his ex-wife is never far from his mind. Shervin, who also has love on the brain, is finally ready to take his relationship with long-distance girlfriend Annalise to the next level. But things get complicated when swirling rumors of infidelity leave him in the hot seat. Despite the fact that GG becomes embroiled in Shervin’s tide of accusations, she is on top of the world. Having learned to focus her fiery energy toward improving herself and taking control of her Rheumatoid Arthritis, she lands an acting job in an off-Broadway play and accepts her boyfriend’s surprise marriage proposal. Hoping that a trip to Israel will be the key to mending their tarnished friendships, the group quickly realizes that the drama is only just beginning.
